On Saturday morning, the Bastrop Fire Department responded to a reported house fire on Willis Street in Bastrop. The call came in at 7:38 a.m., and when firefighters arrived at the scene at 7:43 a.m., the home was engulfed in flames according to Chief Eric Montgomery.Responders were informed that an older woman did live in the home and might still be inside the residence.
